Should everyone get a participation trophy? According to the "Trophies For All" policy, young athletes are being awarded with participation trophies. Participation trophies motivate children to play sports and be active. Participation trophies boost self-confidence. Participation trophies give children a reason to smile for just a few dollars. In contrast some people believe participation trophies are a misguided use of scarce funds.

Participation trophies motivate children to play sports. Losing interest in sports is very easy for youth athletes if they do not win. No one, particularly kid wants to feel bad every time they walk on the field.
