All though in modern time we now do most of our school work through computers, I believe in school cursive should be an encouraged, but not mandatory option for students. Benefits to using cursive such as "Writing by hand helps individuals remember ideas better than typing"(Article 1: Paragraph 2) can be helpful to students who need to study for an upcoming test.
Cursive writing is also benficial to students and people who struggle with dyslexia, as stated in the article "It may also help individuals reduce the effects of brain injury or weakness. Cursive is a common teaching tool for students with dyslexia, a reading disorder." (Article 1: Paragraph 4)
