The long walk to water by Linda Sue, tells us about the story of a 11 year old boy from Sudan named Slava's life and how he had to run away from home because of war, also all of the hard ships he faced running from the war. Prior to the war Slava had a good life with his family but one day a group of rebels attacked the school he was at causing salva o run away to escape. After Salva runs away he joins a group who is walking away to somewhere when they get to a camp where they are all separated by rebels men go one way kids and women go the other way.
