The Writing Process Writing has never been my strong point in my lifetime, but I have learned to adjust, adapt, and overcome certain things that have hindered my writing skill. Before starting this class, I had a hard time figuring out how to write my papers and complete them without little to any errors. I find myself using the writing process very often now because it shows me skills that I never knew how to use on my own. Prewriting, drafting, revising and editing were never taught to me in school so it was very hard for me to get use to this style of writing. The editing section of the writing process was easy for me to complete because I find myself rereading my topics over and over again to see if they sound and look right on the paper. Reading out loud is one of the best things I do to make sure that what I have wrote is correct and so I do not offend anyone. For the section that I considered the most difficult was prewriting. I am not the best person when it comes to brainstorming and it takes a long time for me collect a lot of information. I find my information better in bits and pieces. Three specific strategies that I could use to overcome a situation when it comes to writing would be to learn how to brainstorm better, figure out ways to use clustering to better my writing, and do more research to unlock more substantial material.
