Overcoming an Obstacle

Dealing with adversity, has become part of our daily lives. The matter in how we deal with said adversities, can make a dramatic impact on how our life unfolds. Practicing the basic fundamentals of resiliency, will ensure a more positive experience(Harrington, 2012). By doing this, it has allowed me to carry out life in a healthier manner.

As a member of the armed forces, stress, is a daily obstacle in my life. Some form of stress is induced into my day regularly, rather it be for training or a legitimate situation. Conducting physical training daily, allows me to clear my head and focus. Having a physical regiment, is one of the key pillars in assisting you in overcoming a situation(Harrington, 2012).

The “Smartthinking” application, is one of the greatest resources I have been provided! I will be utilizing this on a regular basis. This resource has the writing practice section, it provides immediate feedback for corrections. In the essay section, you can submit your writing to be reviewed in parts by specialist. You can submit your writing up to ten times. This can result in you having a near perfect essay. Students can have drop-in tutoring, for every class they may be in. You can even schedule your own session.

Using the writing practice section in this unit, left me speechless. I was under the impression that it would take a day or so to get a response back, yet it was almost instantaneous. I will benefit from this for quite a few reasons. I am aware that I can be wordy when I write, this provide corrections for me to make.

I will be using the tutoring sections in my upcoming classes. The main tutoring section would be the “drop-in”. Due to the hectic life I live, this option would be the most feasible.
