If Planned Parenthood were to be banned, five million women and men would be deprived of much needed health care(Goldschmidt). A person should be able to make their own decisions about their body and be able to get the care they need. Planned Parenthood provides several services many men and women need. The organization provides STD testing and care, contraceptives, abortions, health checkups, and much more. They also provide a non-judgemental environment, which is crucial because many feel self conscious about their sexual health. Many feel as if Planned Parenthood is immoral, however by learning the facts, it will become clear that is not the case.
There are several people who want planned parenthood to be outlawed, because they feel as if it's immoral. What seems to be often overlooked is all the problems that would be caused without Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood helps reduce the number of people with STDs. They do this by STD testing making people aware that they’re positive and do their best to keep it from spreading to their loved one.If it is a curable STD they will also treat it. Women get contraceptives with ease preventing several unwanted pregnancies. Cancer screening such as breast, cervical, and testicular are things that people need done regularly. Without Planned Parenthood making these screenings affordable and accessible, many people wouldn’t know they have cancer until it was too late (Planned Parenthood).
