Why I Chose To Attend A Community College

At an early age my parents taught me to work hard. Each summer I work at High Choice Feeders. My job starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. I used to get tired working eleven hour days, but now I have grown used to it. Both my parents work at least fourteen hour days and sometimes more depending on the day. My parents instilled in me that hard work pays off. I have worked hard know to make as much money as I can so I can pay off most of my college expenses. Since I have done this I have decided to attend a 4-year college instead of a junior college. A community college is much cheaper than a four-year. Community colleges have the same general classes as four-year colleges but with cheaper cost. The cheaper tuition at a community college, helps to pay for the other two years at a major college if you chose to pursue your college career. If you chose not to go on to a university then you should have saved quite a bit of money. You can take the money you saved and live comfortably on it, while others that attend a university won't have that kind of cushion after college. …show more content…
I have looked into a junior college, but ultimately Kansas Sate fit me better. I don't have to worry about my classes transferring since I am going strait to a university. The real reason I am going strait to Kansas State is that they have to best teachers in the field of agriculture. The reason I didn't want to go to a community college because, I just want to attend one college not two. I also feel like if I'm going to get a higher education, I should go to where the excel in my major. I want to make sure I'm getting the best education in my field that I
